Juventus vs AC Milan
Round six of the 2025/26 Serie A title race is upon us, and there is an epic on the menu in Turin where Juventus vs. AC Milan kicks off on Sunday evening.
In an explosive start to the campaign, four teams are separated by a single point at the top of the league table, with AC Milan at the summit and Juventus in fourth. And in a compelling subplot, I Rossoneri boss Massimiliano Allegri goes back to the club where he won five Scudettos to add to the one he won in his first stint with Milan, back in 2011.
Igor Tudor is the man in the Juventus hot seat right now, and his team made a fast start to the league campaign, winning their first three games. But they come into this clash on the back of two draws, and that is a trend they are keen to reverse against a side in a rich vein of form, winning their last four league games and five in total.
The Serie A 2025 betting odds say we are in for another classic, so let’s look at the state of play in both camps and make our call.
Talking Points
Juventus need to turn draws into wins
I Bianconeri picked up a 2-2 draw away to Villarreal in the Champions League on Wednesday, and that made it four stalemates in a row in all competitions. Juve were minutes away from a win against the Yellow Submarine, but conceded a 90th-minute equaliser. In their first Champions League tie, they picked up a point. But on that occasion, in a blistering eight-goal second half against Borussia Dortmund, Dusan Vlahovic scored twice as the Old Lady came back from 4-2 down as injury time began.
Juventus missed a chance to go top of Serie A last weekend when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Atalanta, and they drew their previous league game 1-1 away to Hellas Verona, after they began the season with three straight wins over Parma, Genoa, and Inter Milan in the Derby D’Italia.
I Bianconeri desperately need to get back on the winning trail, and while Vlahovic will be itching to get at the Rossoneri defence, there are doubts over whether his strike partner, Francisco Conceicao, will be fit after he picked up a knock against La Dea.
Tomori doubtful for Milan
Under Allegri, I Rossoneri’s defence has been predictably superb, conceding their first goal last week in a 2-1 defeat of Napoli, a result which opened up top spot. They head a mini group of three clubs on 12 points, with Antonio Conte’s Napoli and Roma, now managed by Gian Piero Gasperini, alongside Milan.

Inter Milan and Atalanta are in fifth and sixth place, by the way, as the top end of the Serie A table takes on a familiar look.
So the fans who are heading from Milan to Juventus will be anxiously scanning the Serie A 2025 news for word of central defender Fikayo Tomori. The England man is doubtful after he picked up a thigh strain in the win over Napoli, limping off the pitch late in the second half. Allegri will hope to have Tomori fit, particularly as wing-back Pervis Estupinan is suspended after he picked up a red card against Napoli.
But I Rossoneri will arrive in Turin in a confident mood, recovering from a shock opening day defeat to Cremonese to beat Lecce, Bologna, Udinese, and Napoli, with the last victory showing Milan are ready to challenge for the Scudetto. And with no European football to juggle, Allegri’s men have a crucial advantage over their five main rivals.
History
The head-to-head meetings have all been tight affairs over the last five encounters, Juventus winning twice, Milan once, and there have been two draws. None of those five matches have yielded over two goals, and when this meeting ended in a 2-0 win for I Bianconeri last season, it was the only game with over one goal.
Recent form favours the visitors. Four draws on the bounce for Juventus were preceded by two wins, while Milan have won all five of their matches since they lost their opener to Cremonese.
Betting Tip
Elsewhere this weekend, Napoli host Genoa, a game I would expect them to win, while Roma have a difficult trip away to Fiorentina. And at least one of Juve and Milan will drop points, so this could be a good weekend for I Partenopei.
With Juventus at 2.63, Milan at 2.70, and the draw at 3.15, this game is on a knife-edge. For an alternative bet, a 1-1 draw is at SBOTOP odds of 6.00. It’s going to be a tight one, and I don’t see the low-scoring trend ending on Sunday.
