NBA fans are in for a huge treat, as there are 12 games on the menu tomorrow, following today’s exciting double-header between the Thunder and Rockets, and the Lakers and Warriors.
The 2025-26 campaign kicked off with the Thunder’s championship ring ceremony, and they capped off their memorable night with a thrilling double OT victory against the revamped Rockets. Elsewhere in Los Angeles, the Warriors won handily on the road against the Lakers, who were without veteran star LeBron James.
There will be more NBA 2025 highlights tomorrow, as the Knicks, Hornets, Magic, Hawks, Celtics, Bulls, Grizzlies, Bucks, Jazz, Mavericks, Suns, and Blazers are set to host the Cavaliers, Nets, Heat, Raptors, Sixers, Pistons, Pelicans, Wizards, Clippers, Spurs, Kings, and Timberwolves.
Without further ado, continue reading below, as SBOTOP previews the Top 3 matches from tomorrow’s busy schedule, which includes the upcoming battle between two of the league’s brightest young stars.
San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks

Cooper Flagg has been gassed up this preseason ever since the Mavericks took him with the first overall pick in this summer’s NBA Draft, and he’ll finally get his opportunity to prove his worth when his team takes on the Spurs tomorrow.
After playing as a forward in Dallas’ first two preseason matches, head coach Jason Kidd decided to deploy Flagg as their point forward in their preseason finale against the Jazz. Because Kidd liked what he saw from the former Duke Blue Devil, don’t be surprised if he gets another shot at the point.
Flagg will go up against the strong Spurs’ young core. Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle are the last two Rookie of the Year winners. And let’s not forget that San Antonio had the second overall pick, which they used to take Dylan Harper from Rutgers.
Much has been said about Wembanyama’s physical transformation this summer because his sophomore season was cut short due to a blood clot diagnosis. The Frenchman is out on a mission this season, looking to guide the Spurs back to the playoffs for the first time since 2019.
I’m giving the Mavericks the slight edge because they’ll be playing at home and have the deeper team with key veterans.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ New York Knicks
There’s a massive power vacuum in the Eastern Conference, and the NBA 2025 odds believe that either the Cavaliers or Knicks can fill it en route to making it to the Finals. And tomorrow’s game at Madison Square Garden could be the preview of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Cavaliers reloaded their team this summer with the acquisition of Lonzo Ball from the Bulls. The former second overall pick is expected to play the “Alex Caruso” role, and Ball could draw a start because Darius Garland is still recovering from his toe injury. Max Strus is also out due to a foot injury, while De’Andre Hunter is dealing with a knee knock. Either way, the team expects a huge year from Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen.
As for the Knicks, the team replaced Tom Thibodeau with Mike Brown, which triggers a monumental shift in tactics. Unlike Thibodeau, Brown maximises the bench because he prefers to play fast. As always, Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, and Mikal Bridges will lead the way. Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson are unavailable tomorrow due to injuries, which opens up more playing time for Miles McBride, Guerschon Yabusele, and Jordan Clarkson.

Philadelphia Sixers @ Boston Celtics
The Celtics insist that they plan to remain competitive this season, and their first test is against a hungry Sixers squad out to bounce back from their nightmare 2024-25 campaign.
With Jayson Tatum on the sidelines, Boston will be led by Jaylen Brown and Derrick White, two of the league’s dynamic two-way players. Payton Pritchard or Anfernee Simons will battle for the team’s starting point guard spot. Meanwhile, the Celtics’ frontcourt spots are up for grabs between Neemias Queta, Chris Boucher, Josh Minott, Luka Garza, and Xavier Tillman.
The Celtics’ frontcourt will have its hands full against a healthier Joel Embiid, who almost had a triple-double in his lone preseason game. The Sixers hope to have Embiid in his vintage MVP form, as he will be without co-star Paul George. But at least for Philadelphia, Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Quentin Grimes are ready to help.
