Premier League: Streaking Cottagers Aim to Wreak Havoc at Elland Road

Leeds United vs Fulham

Fulham’s European football push continues, as they’ll visit Elland Road to take on Leeds United for their next Premier League match this Saturday. Marco Silva’s men have built some serious momentum in the past few weeks, ending 2025 with successive wins, and they’ve yet to lose in 2026 across all competitions.

The Cottagers are fresh from a 3-1 win against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup third round last time out. As a result, Fulham might think they can win silverware this season, and they also improved to ninth in the English top-flight standings with 31 points, level with eighth-seeded Chelsea and four points behind the Top 4.

Speaking of undefeated streaks, Leeds United saw theirs end last week at the hands of Newcastle United (4-3). Daniel Farke’s side dropped to 16th in the table with 22 points.

Talking Points

Calvert-Lewin is key to Leeds United’s resurgence

Head coach Daniel Farke and striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin were on the Premier League’s shortlist for the Manager and Player of the Month awards for December 2025 after guiding Leeds United to an undefeated record last month.

Calvert-Lewin scored a league-high six goals across five matches, which earned the Whites wins against Chelsea and Crystal Palace, and draws with Liverpool, Brentford, and Sunderland. As of this writing, the Englishman now has nine league goals to lead Leeds United in scoring.

Not everyone saw this coming from Calvert-Lewin, considering his situation before the 2025-26 campaign. The 28-year-old was a free agent after spending the last nine years at Everton, but Leeds United took a chance on him, and Calvert-Lewin repaid their trust big time.

Calvert-Lewin scored in their loss against Newcastle United and was rested against Derby County in their FA Cup third-round win. The Whites need him to produce to improve their place in the English top-flight table.

Daniel Farke’s side will miss several key players against the Cottagers, as Daniel James (hamstring), Sebastiaan Bornauw (adductor), and Jayden Bogle (calf) are in the medical room. However, they received a lineup boost in the form of summer signing Sean Longstaff, who missed seven weeks with a calf injury.

Wilson stays hot for Fulham

Harry Wilson continues to kick on for Fulham, as he was the Man of the Match in their FA Cup third-round win over Middlesbrough. The 28-year-old forward spearheaded the Cottagers’ comeback by scoring their first goal and teeing up Kevin for their third goal to eliminate Boro.

With seven league goals and a cup goal, Wilson is Fulham’s leading scorer this season. If he maintains his superb form, there’s no doubt he’ll be in for a handsome payday this summer. Fulham are faced with the dilemma of signing Wilson to a new long-term pact before he leaves Craven Cottage on a free transfer in five months. Ironically, Leeds United showed interest in Wilson last summer.

History

Fulham completed a league double against Leeds United before this season, with an aggregate tally of 5-3 in 2022-23, before the Whites were relegated to the Championship. The Cottagers also won 2-0 during their last FA Cup matchup that year. After two seasons, the Whites fought their way back to the Premier League after winning the Championship in 2024-25.

Fulham won 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Craven Cottage last September, as Gabriel Gudmundsson had an own goal in stoppage time, marking their first league win of the campaign.

Before the Cottagers’ four-game winning streak over the Whites across all competitions, the latter also had a four-game winning streak over the former. Overall, Leeds United have the slight edge in the head-to-heads with 26 wins, while Fulham have 23 wins and 15 draws.

Betting Tip

The Premier League 2026 odds predict a close fight between Leeds United and Fulham. Because they’re playing at home, the Whites have the slight edge at 2.28, while the Cottagers aren’t far behind at 2.98 to win, and a draw is at 3.06 in the 1X2 market.

While both teams have players capable of creating new Premier League 2026 highlights, based on their recent meetings, we might see only a handful of them this Saturday. Besides our recommended bet, bettors can also consider adding Under 2.50 at 1.77, Under 2.75 at 1.58, and Total Goal 2-3 at 1.97 to the parlay. Moreover, a Correct Score of 1-0 in favour of the Cottagers – the result of their reverse fixture last September – is on offer at 8.80 your bet.
